Financing Instruments

As described above, the core financing instruments are the long-term loans of € 500 million as well as the credit facility of € 300 million. Of this, € 150 million can be used for acquisition purposes; as of December 31, this amount is fully available. In order to tap new sources of credit, reflecting the company’s position as an MDAX listed company, financing needs may be funded more through capital market instruments such as bonds, private placements, or similar instruments, as appropriate.

In addition, Symrise uses derivative financial instruments for controlling its interest and foreign exchange result.
